Regarding my use of red fabric: As a doll collector, I know from personal experience how disappointing it is to find that a favorite doll has been stained by a new outfit, so I always take great care in choosing and preparing my fabrics. Whenever I am concerned that a dark or over-dyed fabric might stain I will wash it and then soak it in a vinegar and salt bath before using it. If it continues to bleed into the water I will not use it. If I ever find any evidence that one of my completed outfits stains, I will not sell it. So while I can not guarantee with 100% certainty that a fabric will not stain over a long period of time, you can be sure that I will do everything I can to make sure my outfits don't stain your dolls or mine.
